Mr. Smith currently serves as a Building Envelope Consultant and Project Manager for Price Consulting, Inc. He has technical and managerial responsibilities for various curtain walls, waterproofing, roofing and design projects; construction management; and construction monitoring. He has developed opinions regarding the cause or causes of construction and materials problems, and prepared recommendations for corrective action. Before joining Price Consulting in 2009, Mr. Smith worked as a Building Envelope Consultant, specializing in design and installation of window & curtain wall systems, below grade waterproofing, wall system design, and roofing system design, from the Schematic Design phase through the Construction Administration phase. His responsibilities included estimating and procuring new projects and conducting all contracted scopes of services. Prior to that, Mr. Smith worked in the Commercial Glazing industry as an Estimator/Project Manager, beginning as a Certified Glazier. His responsibilities included installing glazing and metal products, estimating commercial glazing projects, procuring required products, conducting price analyses, securing new projects, and project management through to final closeout. Mr. Smith’s experience has included high, mid, and low-rise commercial and residential buildings; retail malls; military buildings; industrial buildings; schools; hospitals; sport/recreation facilities; airports; and renovation projects. His projects have taken him from the northern most regions of the USA and Canada to southern USA.
